approximately 2 months ago, we found ourselves in the midst of a hail storm while we were in Centerville, OH. We were attempting to leave a CYO final track meet that was held at Centerville High School when all of a sudden our 2008 Dodge Avenger got pounded with baseball size hail. We tried to go to a safe location, however the storm was so fierce, the only option that was to park next to a SUV in efforts of minimizing the damage. For what appeared to be 10 min,, we couldn’t see clearly what was going on around us as the car shooked. The cars blue book value was estimated at $11,500 and the insurance co estimated the damages at $10,400 and totaled the vehicle. Due to trying to help family members who lost jobs at GM, we landed in financial distress and can not finance a vehicle. At the end of the day, we are left with driving a vehichle that is a sight fornsore eyes nd a rebuilt title from the state of OH. We did not use an attorney as we went through the process and we do not have the funding for body repairs.
